In the spirit of Easter, the President and Founder of Mary Slessor-Akan Glo Foundation, Dr. Glory Edet has distributed gift items and financial support to multiple-birth parents and children drawn from across the eleven wards of Ini LGA. Speaking at the event, which was held on Monday, April 21, at her Ikpe Ikot Nkon residence, Dr. Edet noted that the event was part of activities she had lined up to mark this year’s Easter celebration as she has been doing in other years by God’s grace. The Founder of Mary Slessor-Akan Glo Foundation (MASLAG), Dr Glory Edet has attributed the successes recorded by the foundation in the last two years to God’s grace and mercy. Dr Edet stated this at the second anniversary celebration of the foundation which was held at Governor’s Office Annex, Wellington Bassey way, Uyo, Saturday, June 28. She paid tribute to the late Missionary, Mary Mitchell Slessor and the wonderful story of how she stopped the killing of twins and other multiple birth children as well as the banishment of their mothers in Nigeria.
