-ABOUT US-

The Mary Slessor-Akan Glo  Foundation was established on the values of love, empathy, and solidarity. It is a ray of compassion and hope. Our foundation bears the name Mary Slessor in commemoration of the remarkable Scottish missionary who made a lasting impact on human history by her selfless work and unflinching dedication to the African people especially twin children. As a nonprofit organization, we are motivated by a deep desire to improve the lives of the most vulnerable people in society and to lessen their suffering. Passionate people from a variety of backgrounds make up our team, and they are all driven to create a society where everyone has the chance to prosper, no matter what their circumstances may be.

Our Values:

Compassion: At the core of our foundation is compassion. We genuinely understand the challenges that impoverished people face and work hard to improve their lot in life.

Empowerment: We support giving people the freedom to take charge of their own change as individuals and communities. Our goals are to give people the skills they need to create better futures for themselves and their families through training, healthcare, and education.

Sustainability: We plan all of our projects with long-term sustainability in mind. We work to put into practice solutions that will benefit the communities we serve long after we are no longer directly involved.

Collaboration: Progress is mostly dependent on collaboration. Our goal is to maximize effectiveness by combining resources, knowledge, and skills through partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, local communities, and like-minded individuals.

Diversity and Inclusion: Throughout every facet of our foundation, we uphold inclusivity and accept diversity. The distinct abilities and viewpoints that every person contributes are welcomed and valued.
